Artist Clayton Swartz was commissioned to create series of artistic benches for Florida Gulf Coast University at the Emergent Technologies Building. Each bench has a unique design and color scheme. A total of 6 benches was created for this project. This is the second time Clayton Swartz was selected for the Art in State Buildings project at Florida Gulf Coast.

Each bench includes three charging stations for students to charge up phones or other electronics.
